Edmonton to see more transitional housing built on former city land

Construction is beginning on two healing house projects in Edmonton’s Parkdale to provide transitional housing and services for 24 homeless individuals discharged from hospitals. Modeled after the Glenwood Bridge Healing program, these facilities aim to support people facing homelessness and reduce emergency room visits. The city sold land for $1, with fundraising efforts targeting $10 million to support the project.
