Homebuyers Find More Choices in Alberta’s Easing Market

Alberta's real estate market is cooling, with several cities experiencing significant year-over-year sales declines: Calgary (-11.2%), Edmonton (-11.7%), Red Deer (-18.5%), and Grande Prairie (-35%). Medicine Hat saw a 12.9% sales increase. Overall, February sales dropped 9.2%, new listings rose 3.5%, and inventory increased 10.6%. Supply rose to 3.24 months, loosening in Calgary and Edmonton, while Medicine Hat remains tight. Average prices grew most in Lethbridge (+15%) and Medicine Hat (+9%).
