Two Alberta cities see rent rise as others keep dropping

Most Alberta cities are seeing year-over-year rent declines, with Airdrie, Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and Medicine Hat leading drops. However, Red Deer and Lethbridge experienced slight rent increases. Nationally, average rents fell 3.1% year-over-year, marking 14 months of decline, with North Vancouver as the priciest city. Rent decreases are linked to slower demand and increased supply amid economic uncertainty.
