Edmonton tops Canada’s rent growth despite being more affordable

Edmonton has seen the fastest rent growth in Canada over the past three years, with a 25.5% increase, despite recent slight monthly and yearly drops. One-bedroom rents average $1,391, and two-bedrooms $1,759. Nationally, rents have declined year-over-year for 11 months, with the steepest drops in Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary. North Vancouver remains the most expensive city for renters.
